Re: Submission of manuscripts for consideration in special issue of International Journal of Coal Geology Dear Colleagues I would like to thank again for your participation in the Joint Meeting of CSCOP-TSOP-ICCP 2007 and I hope you enjoyed your stay in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Authors of papers presented at the TSOP 2007 meeting (joint CSCOP-TSOP-ICCP 2007) are invited to consider publication of their paper(s) in a special issue of International Journal of Coal Geology. The editors of the special issue ask you to follow the following guidelines: 1. Please keep the paper succinct. This does not mean writing an extended abstract, but it does mean that extended discussions of material that has been covered elsewhere should be referenced or summarized briefly, not repeated. Extensive tables can be placed in an electronic appendix which will become part of the on-line version of the paper. Multimedia files, including movies and audio, can also be included in the on-line version. See “Artwork instructions” at <http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/authors.authors/authorartworkinstructions>. Color in the print edition must be paid by the author. The current rate is $350 for the first color figure and $175 for each additional color figure . As an alternative, figures in the print edition can be black & white, with color versions available in the on-line version free of charge . 2. Follow the guidelines in the Guide for Authors found at <http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/journaldescription.cws_home/503337/authorinstructions>. 3. The journal now has a system for electronic submission of manuscripts. Authors must use the system to submit manuscripts for the special issue. Instructions are found at ( http://ees.elsevier.com/cogel/ ). If you do not already have a login and password for the journal, you can create one during your first visit to the site. When prompted to “Select Article Type”, choose “Special Issue Paper: TSOP 2007”. 4. Please submit your manuscript by 20 DECEMBER, 2007. Thank you,
